Basic Dial-Up Connections

Monthly Fees

$29.00 / month for 150 hour
$50.00 / month for 400 hours

Setup fee: $30.00

If you are online more than 150 hours, you will be billed an additional $0.50 / hour for each additonal hour.

Personal Webpages

With every Dial-Up Account, you receive 15MB of space on personal.vineyard.net to publish personal webpages.

Vineyard.NET provides it's customers with extensive resources for publishing your own webpages and a growing library of scripts that you can include in your pages.

Account Administration

Vineyard.NET allows you to administer and configure almost every aspect of account, direct from your web browser :
• Change your password!
• Set up multiple email aliases!
• Customize anti-SPAM Filters!
• View your billing statement and the total number of hours you've been online.

Automatic Credit Card & Chequing Account Debiting

If you don't want to worry about writing a check every month, Vineyard.NET allows you to pay using your credit card (MasterCard or Visa) or have the money debited directly from your checking account (ACH). Best of all, you'll save money too! With either method of payment you'll receive a $1.00 / month discount off your monthly bill.

Advance Payment

Another alternative to worrying about that monthly check is Advance Payment. If you pay for a year of service at once, Vineyard.NET will give you a free month!

Connect to America OnLine (AOL) at no extra cost

Connecting to AOL from the Vineyard is still a long distance call. Your Vineyard.NET account allows you to configure your AOL settings to contact their computer via the Internet! Contact your reseller for details. note: You must have an existing AOL account.

Note: For every additional MB of space used for your personal website, above the alloted 15 MB, you will be billed $1.00 / month.

Note: Vineyard.NET allows it's customers to maintain mail files on our server up to, and not excedding, 5 MB in size at no extra charge. Customers with mail files larger than 5 MB will be billed an extra $1.00 per MB / month. This is based on your average mailbox size for the month.

Dormant Accounts

Monthly Fees

$5.00 / month, pro-rated for the current month.
Setup fee: $30.00

Mail

If your mail file grows past 5 MB in size, standard mail-overage charges will apply ($1 for each MB over the limit per month - this is calculated using the monthly average for the size of the mailbox).

To avoid this, you can have your mail forwarded to another e-mail account. You can also use our Vacation Tool. This allows you to set up a message that is automatically sent back to anybody that sends mail to your account. Read the Vacation FAQ for more information.

If you use your POP ( Post Office Protocol ) mail client (Eudora, Pegasus, Navigator, etc. ) to read your mail from some distance away, there is a likelihood that a snooper will read your login and password as the information traverses a machine.

This may not be an issue for many users. It becomes a significant issue if you are in the habit of using the same login/password combination on multiple computers (bad practice). Please get in touch with VNI directly if you have special security needs (we have resources: kerberos IV, APOP, ssh, etc.).

Note:

A dormant account is prohibited from dialing directly into the Vineyard.NET server until it is made active again.

Network & LAN Connections

Monthly Fees

$120.00 / month for 56K leased line connections
$300.00 / month for 7x24 dual channel ISDN connections


Network and LAN Accounts give you a 24 hour connection to the Internet!

So you'll never have to worry about getting online. Plus, Vineyard.NET will assign a dedicated phone number for your account!

Equipment

You will need to purchase two identical modems specific to your connection. One to be located at your home, or place of business, and the other at Vineyard.NET.
We will give you a block of CIDR IP numbers sufficient to meet your equipment needs.

Location

This service is currently only available in Vineyard Haven & Oak Bluffs
You must also be within 10, 000 feet of the Bell Atlantic Central Office.

Group & Business Accounts

Monthly Fees

$10.00 / month for each user ( $50.00 minimum )
$0.60 / hour ( usage fee ) for each user account.

Setup fee $100.00

Optional mail alias $100.00 ( one-time fee) .
